Car slams into wall at The Lodge

 

Police-afp-cops-0021-175x175A 65-year-old man driving a white Hyundai i30 with Victorian number plates has driven into the rear wall of the The Lodge at around 8.10am today.

The car was driving along Grey Street, Deakin, when it collided with a concrete wall causing what the p[olice describe as “significant damage”.

Police are not treating the incident as suspicious, but investigations are continuing. Firefighters were called to secure the concrete wall on National Circuit.  ACT Fire & Rescue sent two pumpers.

The man was taken by ambulance to The Canberra Hospital with minor injuries.

No one is currently residing at the Prime Minister’s residence due to refurbishment work.
