POLICE have arrested a 24-year-old Reid man after he allegedly threatened a patron in a Civic pub and stole his laptop last night.
Around 7.30pm the man entered the King O’Malley’s pub where he approached and threatened a man with a screwdriver, demanding he hand over his laptop.
The patron complied with the demands and the offender left the scene.
Police attended shortly after and were able to locate the offender at a nearby residence.
The arrested man, who has an active First Instant Warrant, was taken to the ACT Watch House where he was charged with aggravated robbery and common assault.
He will face ACT Magistrate’s Court today where police will oppose bail.
