THE National Library has announced they’ll be closing their stacks on weekends despite Saturdays being their busiest day.
While researchers can still pre-order books they know they’ll want to access it means any follow up will have to wait a week in contrast to the internet or even a well run mail order system.
The Trove system will to some extend plug the gap, but at this time only promises “some” text.
Who can be trusted?
In a world of spin and confusion, there’s never been a more important time to support independent journalism in Canberra.
If you trust our work online and want to enforce the power of independent voices, I invite you to make a small contribution.
Every dollar of support is invested back into our journalism to help keep citynews.com.au strong and free.
Thank you,
