Minister for Youth Justice’s son facing prison time for armed robbery

Joy Burch

THE Canberra Times is reporting that the 20 year old son of local Labor Minister Joy Burch, Llyod Burch, has been found guilty of an armed robbery of the Phillip Ali Baba kebab shop.

Justice Burns has suspended sentencing for six months to assess if the younger Burch has been serious in his rehabilitation efforts.

If found to have failed in those efforts the prosecution is pushing for a four to five year sentence.
