MULLIGANS Flat Woodland Sanctuary will experience temporary closures as part of the program to control populations of rabbits and hares this Spring.
Though foxes and cats have been removed as a result of previous control programs, rabbit and hare populations have been harder to reduce. The latest program is a follow up to the recent release of the RHD virus.
Since the program involves shooting and fumigation the Sanctuary will be closed each night on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 7pm and 8am from Monday September 8 to Wednesday November 19.
Signs and notices, as well as locked gates to the Sanctuary will alert people to the closure and prevent access.
