Multiple controlled burns this week

THE ACT Parks and Conservation Service is giving notice of a series of burns planned around Canberra.

Burns totalling 0.2 hectares will be conducted at six locations on the south bank of the Molonglo River, upstream of Coppins Crossing. These burns should be completed by the end of the day.

Burns will be conducted to clear piles of wood collected from 64 hectares of land in Kowen Forest and Uriarra Forrest. The controlled burns will be conducted at Kowen Forest, Uriarra Village and East/West Road and will continue throughout the week.
