Murder investigators search for missing shoe

POLICE are searching the Mugga Lane tip for a missing shoe as part of investigations into the murder of Phillip man Miodrag Gajic.

Following on the search warrant executed in Chapman on Friday, police are searching the rubbish tip for a single shoe, which is believed to belong to the offender.

Detective Sergeant Anthony Brown said they believe the shoe was worn by the offender at the crime scene and later discarded.

“We are currently searching the Mugga Lane tip in the hope of finding the discarded shoe, which may provide us with some evidentiary value into the murder of Miodrag Gajic,” said Detective Sergeant Brown.

Miodrag Gajic was found dead at his home in Phillip on January 1.
