A 25-year-old Florey man is expected to be charged today in ACT Magistrates Court for the murder of Miodrag Gajic, who was found dead in his Phillip flat on New Year’s Day.
Police say they will oppose bail.
Detective Superintendent of Criminal Investigations, Paul Shakeshaft, said the man’s appearance in court was the result of “an exhaustive investigation by dedicated detectives” supported by information from the community.
“Police made numerous appeals to the public throughout this murder investigation, and I applaud those who came forward to assist us with information,” Detective Superintendent Shakeshaft.
“The eyes and ears of the community are an integral part of investigative policing.”
