THE ABC brings word that the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Peter Slipper, has been sentenced to repay $954 dollars, a two year good behaviour bond, and 300 hours of community service for fiddling his cabcharge vouchers.
“CityNews” inquired of Attorney-General Simon Corbell’s office if community service was transferable interstate and we got this intriguing reply.
Mr Slipper has to serve his community service in the ACT.
We sincerely look forward to seeing the Honourable Peter Slipper picking up garbage on the side of the Tuggeranong Parkway.
