Phillip man arrested for Phillip mugging

ACT Policing has arrested a 24-year-old Phillip man following a robbery in Phillip early on Saturday morning (June, 7).

About 5.10am, two men exited a residence they had been visiting and entered a car. A male followed them from the residence to the car and threatened them, demanding cash. The two men handed over a small sum of cash, a mobile phone and a watch. The man took the items and returned to the residence.

The two men then reported the incident to police at the Woden Police Station.

About 5.30am, Police executed a search warrant on the address and located the stolen items. A 24-year-old Phillip man was apprehended and conveyed to Woden Police Station.

The man was later conveyed to the ACT Watch House and charged with robbery. He will face the ACT Magistrates Court on Monday.
