THE ACT Government is advising residents that a hazard reduction burn will take place at Pine Island Reserve today to prepare for the upcoming fire season.
ACT Parks and Conservation Service Fire Management Officer, Brian Levine, said this burn will be the first of a number controlled burns planned in and around urban areas in the ACT over the coming weeks.
