Police seek answers to mystery car crash

A 52-year-old man is in hospital after his car hit a traffic light and another car in Bruce yesterday afternoon and police are trying to work out why.

Police-afp-cops-9720-400x266Police say the man’s green Daewoo Nubira station wagon veered off Ginninderra Drive for unknown reasons at about 1.15pm, as he approached the intersection with Braybrooke Street in Bruce.

The vehicle travelled across the centre median and into a traffic light on the western side of the intersection, continued a short distance and then hit the second vehicle, which sustained minor damage.

The Daewoo driver was taken by ambulance to Canberra Hospital. He was in a stable condition this afternoon.

Any information about the accident can be reported to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or online at act.crimestoppers.com.au
