Road closed due to burst pipe in Macquarie

MOTORISTS are advised to avoid Bennelong Crescent in Macquarie until further notice after an underground stormwater pipe burst this afternoon.

A section of Bennelong Crescent near the northern intersection with Lachlan Street, near the local Macquarie shops, was closed this afternoon.

Traffic diversions were put in place with local access to Bennelong Crescent allowed from the southern entrance off Lachlan Street.
