Thieves steal one-tonne rock

POLICE are seeking the community’s assistance to find a rock which was stolen from the National Rock Garden last week.Rock1 Rock2

The one-tonne rock is approximately one metre in length at the base, 75cm in height and a triangular shape, and is grey and brown in colour, with prominent bands of white quartz and darker coloured bands.

Police believe the rock was stolen on Thursday night and say lifting equipment would have been required to remove it.

Anyone with information regarding the theft and any suspicious behaviour in the area is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or viawww.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
