JOY Burch has announced 29 new scholarship places for childcare workers.

“A further 29 scholarships are being offered under the Early Childhood Scholarship Program, which helps successful applicants gain their Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and meet new qualification requirements,” Joy said.

“Under the new National Quality Framework, educators working with children are required to hold or be working towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

“Successful applicants will have their course fees paid and receive a one off payment of $300 to help pay for study resources such as books or an iPad. For those who need to study during work hours, the scholarship also covers the cost for their employer to hire a replacement for two hours per week.”

These new places brings the total number of scholarships up to 114.

Potential recipients are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Contact the Education and Training Directorate on 6207 1114.
