ACT Policing is investigating a serious collision which occurred on the Monaro Highway yesterday afternoon (Sunday, August 10).
About 4.40pm, a two car collision occurred on the Monaro Highway, Royalla, at the intersection of Old Cooma Road, involving a Toyota Corolla and Hilux.
The impact caused significant damage to the Corolla sedan with the passenger sustaining life threatening injuries. Both the driver and passenger were conveyed to The Canberra Hospital by the ACT Ambulance Service.
An infant from the Hilux was also transported to The Canberra Hospital for observation.
Traffic flows along the highway were restricted for about three hours while the collision scene was processed.
ACT Policing’s Traffic Operations – Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team is investigating.
