DESPITE all the blood and treasure spent on the Wars on Terror somehow the senseless acts continue.

In this case, in Canberra, an otherwise blameless tree in Petrie Plaza has had to suffer the indignity of yarn bombing.

At least it won’t get so cold.

And furthermore on the bright side the tree has escaped the indignity of Holbrook’s submarine.

Yarn bombing is simply graffiti in another form.If the kids were doing it, we would be up in arms. Grow up people, knit for charities or people instead of posts and trees.

There are worse things than putting tea cosies (spelling?) on trees.

It helps the Cheshire possums entertain their friends.
