As well as this featured art, a range of artwork and craft will be on display over the weekend in the three galleries at the Art Show, showcasing the talents of local artists, craft and design practitioners and Cranleigh students, with all available for sale. Guests will also have the opportunity to win one of three pieces of art in the raffle or to find a bargain in the Silent Auction.

Funds raised from the Cranleigh-Capital Chemist Art Show will be used for the refurbishment of the sensory gym for the 145 students who attend Cranleigh School. Cranleigh caters for students who have a range of special needs including developmental delays, autism, and moderate to severe intellectual disabilities.

In addition, many of these children have serious sensory difficulties where their senses are often under or over-stimulated, adversely affecting their attention levels, ability to learn and everyday living experiences. An updated, specialised, fun space will benefit the children with their sensory needs and help them to better cope with the challenges they face daily.

Tickets for the Opening Night at 6pm tomorrow October 17 are available at the school ON THE NIGHT for $15 and include wine and canapés, live music and entry throughout the weekend. 2014 Cranleigh Art Show, at Cranleigh in Starke Street, Holt, Saturday 10am to 4pm and Sunday 10am to 12.30pm.
