Stumped by the smoke around the place?

ACT Emergency Services is getting calls from the public concerned about the presence of smoke across Canberra.

The agency says there are no fires in the ACT and that following hazard reduction burns at O’Connor and Black Mountain  yesterday it is normal for stumps and heavy logs to continue to smoke and some flames may be visible in the interior of the burn.

The ACT Territory and Municipal Services Parks Brigade is continuing to monitor the burn today.

If you see a fire outside of the control lines without a crew or truck in attendance please ring Emergency Triple Zero (000).
