Taxi rank assault in Civic

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an assault which occurred at the taxi rank near Bailey’s Corner on London Circuit in Civic early this morning (August 8).

Around 3.45am three males were standing at the taxi rank when one male has struck another with his hand causing the victim to fall to the ground.

A second male then stepped towards the victim kicking him while he was on the ground.

The two males walked away but were stopped and spoken to by Police. They were taken to the ACT Watch House where they will be interviewed at a later time.

ACT Ambulance Services conveyed the victim to Calvary Hospital suffering head injuries.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information to assist the investigation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
