Teen girl escapes indecent act

A 14-year-old girl escaped from an encounter with a half-naked man in Gungahlin last night, who was “performing an indecent act” while naked from the waist down.

policePolice are appealing for witnesses to the indecent assault, which took place at about 9.30pm last night near Yerrabi Pond.

The girl kicked the man before running away.

The offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his mid-to-late 20s, approximately 6’3” tall (190cm) with short, dark-coloured hair and a pot belly.

He spoke with “a childlike voice” in an Australian accent, had about three days’ worth of facial hair and was wearing a black, round necked T-shirt with a red and silver pattern on the front.
