Trio on show at lunchtime concert

They’ll be at Wesley Music Centre tomorrow, Wednesday, August 6, as part of the popular Lunchtime Live series, when they will perform the Schumann Piano Trio in G minor, Opus 110 and the Gliere Eight Duets for Violin and Cello, Opus 39.

The three young artists formed Trio Telopea in 2010 as a trial for the ANU pre-tertiary chamber music program. They have since undertaken tutorship from Lindy Reksten, Vernon Hill, Rowan Harvey-Martin, Barbara-Jane Gilby, Marie Cull, Sue Powell and Julian Smiles.

They have also played in masterclasses with Geza Szilvay, John Harding and Bernadette Harvey.

In 2011, the trio were finalists in the Sydney Eisteddfod Musica Viva Chamber Music Award and in 2012, they won second place and the People’s Choice prize in the ANU Chamber Music Competition.

Trio Telopea, Wesley Music Centre, 20 National Circuit, Forrest, 12.40pm to 1.20pm, Wednesday August 6.   Entry $5 minimum, concession $2,  No bookings required. Tickets at the door.
