What use a merry-go-round that isn’t open?

STROLLING forth from “CityNews” palatial offices I was immediately struck by something that wasn’t there.

In the height of the school holidays, on a rare sunny day after a pretty miserable week, the merry-go-round was shuttered.

Discussion with parents has reached a consensus that it’s not a destination, it’s an indulgence if passed by, so the more restricted the hours so will go the trade.

Stuck on to an information board are the current hours of operation.

Does the merry-go-round have a future with these restricted hours?

Maybe it should be moved to a location where it would get more use? Like near the new Boundless playground or Commonwealth Park?
