LIBERAL Senator Zed Seselja says three local schools; Mother Theresa School in Harrison, St Thomas Aquinas Primary School in Charnwood and St Monica’s Primary School in Evatt, will share in a $2.3m Australian Government grant to upgrade and build learning facilities.
The grants, awarded as part of the Capital Grants Programme (CGP), will go towards a wide range of projects. At Mother Theresa School they will construct an eight-classroom block, St Monica’s Primary School will refurbish a staff and administration facility, while students at St Thomas Aquinas Primary School will benefit from three new classrooms, a library extension and toilet refurbishment.
Senator Zed Seselja congratulated the three schools on receiving the grant.
“While buildings alone do not make a school, these students will benefit when these enhanced facilities are complete.”
