Braddon Supermarket robbery

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an overnight (Saturday, 8 August) aggravated robbery at the Braddon Supermarket in Lowanna Street, Braddon.

Around 8pm, a man entered the store and approached an employee brandishing a 30cm kitchen knife and demanding cash. The employee complied with the demand.

The man then fled the store with the cash and ran towards the parkland opposite the store.

A review of the CCTV shows another person accompanying the man to the store. This person doesn’t enter the store, but flees the area with the man at the completion of the robbery.

The main offender is described as Caucasian, around 175-180cm in height with a thin build. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a grey coloured hooded jumper, black coloured track pants, and black coloured shoes. The man also wore a white coloured face covering.

Police are urging anyone who may have been in the Braddon area at the time of the incident and may have noticed any suspicious activity, or may have seen the offender, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the website www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information may be provided anonymously.
