400 sheep rolled over on Tharwa Drive

ACT Fire & Rescue is responding to reports of large truck rollover in South Tuggeranong.

Initial reports suggest a triple decker truck containing an estimated 400 sheep has overturned in the northbound lane near the intersection of Tharwa Drive and Drakeford Drive at Conder outside the new ACT Fire & Rescue Station.

Firefighters are currently working with the ACT Government Chief Vet on scene to free sheep who are trapped in the wreckage.

Firefighters have completed extricating sheep trapped in the wreckage.

The ACT Ambulance Service has transported a 44 year old man to the Canberra Hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries.
