Abortion protest jamboree on Alinga Street

abortion protests

EARLIER in the week Shane Rattenbury floated the idea of protest exclusion zones around health facilities, after Catholic Archbishop David Prowse took to the barricades outside ACT Health on Alinga Street to pray against abortions.

Today the regular Friday morning protest saw four anti-abortion protestors setting up their crucifixes, while around 20 much younger pro-abortion protestors maintained a “Harrassment Free Zone”.

The spectacle highlighted the need to move political protest away from health facilities and down the road to the Legislative Assembly.
