Bullet trainers rebrand as the “Like Canberra Party”

Like Canberra

THE “Bullet Train for Canberra” party has announced they’re going to run as the “Like Canberra Party” at the 2016 ACT Election.

They claim to be “an ACT only party that stands for a broad range of issues aimed primarily atimprovements and growth for the Canberra community. While we still believe strongly in the benefits of High Speed Rail, it isn’t the only thing we’re focussing on.

Their policy platform to date includes these catchy motherhood statements, keenly targeted at the ACT community:

  • LIKE High Speed Rail?
  • LIKE Jobs?
  • LIKE Our Public Service?
  • LIKE Equality & Respect?
  • LIKE Common Sense?
  • LIKE Canberra?

“Like Canberra will give voters an opportunity to stand up for our community, our jobs and our future. The major parties have let Canberrans down year after year and just can’t be trusted anymore.

“This Saturday at the Multicultural Festival, the Bullet Train for Australia and Like Canberra parties will have a stall and are welcoming everyone to come down, say hello, discuss high speed rail and just how great Canberra really is.”
