Now in its sixth year, the award’s theme this year is ‘Side Effects’. Aimed at discovering the flair and the talent of emerging photographers in Australia, it provides photographers with exposure to industry leaders in attendance on the opening night and through the exhibition and media coverage of the event.

The award will culminate in an exhibition of the finalists’ work, opening on the September 25 at SUNSTUDIOS in Alexandria Sydney. In previous years, over a thousand people have attended the opening night, including leaders in the arts, media, fashion, entertainment and creative industries.
