Canberra’s Aspen Medical sets up a Texas Ambulance Service

THE Canberra Business Chamber has congratulated Aspen Medical on its launch of a 24-hour ambulance service across Maverick County, Texas.

“Aspen Medical was founded in the ACT in 2003 and has since grown to be a major international player. It has shown how successful Canberra businesses can be both at home and overseas,” Canberra Business Chamber CEO, Robyn Hendry said.

Robyn is in the United States on a Trade Mission with a range of business representatives from Canberra including Aspen Medical Executive Director, Glenn Keys and ACT Chief Minister, Andrew Barr.

“Aspen Medical is already doing well in the United States and it plans to extend its ambulance service operation across other counties.

“During our time in the United States, all the local businesses over here with us have been well received and I believe a number of opportunities for ACT businesses could emerge from this trip.”

The ACT Trade Mission runs from 4-9 October 2015. Twenty six local companies along with the Chief Minister and representatives from Canberra Business Chamber and Invest Canberra have visited San Francisco, Silicon Valley and Austin.
