Chew to play sonatas at Wesley

THIS week’s Wednesday Lunchtime Live Concert at Wesley will be a piano recital by Aaron Chew.

A Masters in Music student at the ANU, studying with Larry Sitsky and Stephen Loy, Chew graduated last year with a Bachelor of Music, majoring in Piano Performance and Psychology.

Highlights in the past year have included performing in ‘four-hands’ concerts with Peter Tregear, Arnan Wiesel, and Sitsky.

He also played in the ABC Sunday Live Series and with cellist David Pereira and gave a solo recital at Wesley Music Centre.

He has played in Canberra International Music Festivals, Friends of School of Music concerts, ANU Graduation Ceremonies, Wesley Music Centre concerts, and for Government House, Canberra ArtSound FM radio and ABC 666.

Aaron Chew plays sonatas by Scarlatti, Beethoven and Robert Schumann, Wesley Music Centre, 20 National Circuit, Forrest, 12.40 – 1.20pm, Wednesday November 4. Entry $5 or donation. No bookings required.
