COMMONWEALTH Park will be transformed into a multi-coloured morning of walking, running, dancing and skipping when the Swisse Color Run returns to Canberra on Sunday, February 22.

“We’re putting the fun back into fun run, by getting active with your family and friends at the ‘Happiest 5k on the Planet’!” says Woody Sedgman, race director.

The Swisse Color Run encourages individuals and teams to run in support of one of the nominated, well-known local and national charities.

“We’re really looking forward to coming back to Canberra, the local support from ACT has been fantastic!” says Woody.

“For anyone who hasn’t seen our event, it’s like no other fun run or festival around.

“We cover our thousands of participants dressed in white with five colours (corn starch powder with food dye) through the 5km loop course. It’s crazy how many smiles we see at each event. Everyone gets into it, from families, to teenagers, to young kids, corporate groups, awesome dressed-up teams, even grandma and grandpa have the time of their lives getting colourful together and laughing along the way.

“The beauty of this unique paint race, is that it’s not competitive, it’s not timed or about speed, it doesn’t matter what fitness level you are, or your age or background. Every Color Runner is there to enjoy the community spirit, and put the fun back into fun run! You can walk, skip or dance your way through the course.

“With 10,000 runners, family, lovers, hens’ parties – you name it, it’s all happening under clouds of blue, pink, green and orange, with an International MC and many special guests including Andrew Morley, of ‘Home & Away’.”

It’s at Stage 88, with an 8am start. Tickets on sale until 6pm, Saturday, February 21 at colorrun.com.au
