Dunlop dog attacks come to an end

Dunlop dogs

FOLLOWING reports of two separate dog attacks in Dunlop in recent days, Domestic Animal Services called on the community to report any sightings of the dogs involved (pictured).

The dogs were described as medium-sized cross-breeds, a white male and a brindle and white female.

Two dogs have reportedly died and a young adult injured following the attacks.

“Since the attacks on Thursday and Friday last week, rangers have increased patrols in Dunlop and surrounds in an attempt to locate the dogs. This has covered a wide area including adjoining nature reserves and grassed areas,” said Fleur Flanery, Registrar, Domestic Animal Services.

DAS later announced the dogs had been surrendered.

“The owner of the dogs contacted Domestic Animal Services earlier this evening after being alerted to media reports of the incidents,” said Fleur.
