Early morning servo robbery in Queanbeyan

NSW POLICE are appealing for information following an armed robbery of a service station in Queanbeyan this morning.

About 4.15am (Monday 23 November 2015), a male armed with a firearm entered a service station on Yass Road and threatened a 32-year-old male employee.

He fled the scene a short time later, taking cash.

Officers attached to Monaro Local Area Command were called and established a crime scene.

A replica firearm was located at the scene, which has been seized for forensic examination.

As investigations into the incident continue, police would like to speak to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the vicinity of Yass Road and Endurance Avenue about 4.15am this morning.

The male in the incident is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, of slim build, with long blond hair.

He was seen wearing a black hoodie with a green vest, black pants, white runners, and a blue baseball cap.
