Eddies boys ‘Cooking for the Community’ and supporting Menslink

ST EDMUNDS are gearing up for their “Cooking for the Community” charity event in support of Menslink.

Menslink is an important part of the pastoral care the boys at St Edmund’s College Years 7 to 12 have access to, with regular visits, talks and mentoring programs Eddies’ boys and Staff wanted to give back.

“We rely on the community to get behind the organisation to assist us in raising awareness and promoting the work we do,” says Menslink CEO Martin Fisk.

“We are grateful for the support of the Canberra Southern Cross Club in providing the venue, kitchen facilities and for the initiative St Edmund’s College Hospitality Department has shown in organising this event. Cooking for the Community is a wonderful example of organisations working together to support our young men.

“The statistics speak for themselves that we need to encourage men to talk, to get the word out there that we can help, and to find great people who might like to volunteer to work with Menslink. It’s going to be a great night and the food will be amazing supported by the MC Marcus Paul, panel members Ricky Stuart, Dan McKellar and Clyde Rathbone and the many organisations with donations for the Live and Silent Auctions.”
