Entries open for annual drawing prize

M16 ARTSPACE is about to celebrate a happy 30th birthday. It wasn’t always called M16 but it represents a continuous line of work-practice by artists in the Kingston-Fyshwick area over many years.

Now M16 invites artists to submit work for the annual M16 Drawing Prize. This prize is for works on paper or other surfaces using either traditional or non-traditional drawing materials or techniques, including digital media.

Finalists’ work will be exhibited in the M16 Artspace Drawing Prize 2015 exhibition from Dec 11-20, which coincides with M16’s 30th birthday.

The judges for the prize will be Deborah Hart, curator of Australian Art at the NGA and David Hansen from the Centre for Art History and Theory at the ANU.

The closing date for entries is 5pm, Friday, November 20. Entries to m16artspace.com.au
