Guitar Trek crowd funding success

WITH only 6 hours to go, Australia’s (and Canberra’s) premier guitar quartet, Guitar Trek has surpassed itself by raising $12,160, exceeding its $12,000 target on Pozible.com .

The quartet, which changes its composition from time to time, was launched in 1987, and was the brainchild of guitar guru at the ANU, Tim Kain, who still leads the group. The other present members are Minh Le Hoang, Bradley Kunda and Matt Withers.

The plan is to hit Sydney’s Studio 301 in June to release the group’s sixth album and the crowd funding will pay for a sound engineer for recording/editing/mastering, case manufacture, APRA/AMCOS Copyright and venue hire for a Canberra concert

The album will include a range of music for the whole family – Brahms, Albeniz, Rodrigo, Satie, Ramirez, Tchaikovsky and Montes.
