Gun found in Kambah

ACT Policing is investigating the discovery of a shotgun found in Kambah today, (Sunday 23 August).

About 11.45am, police were notified of the shotgun by an elderly man who was walking his dog along Kambah Pool Road. The shotgun was wrapped in three plastic bags and partly buried in a shallow trench about 30 metres into the scrub opposite the Murrumbidgee Country Club.

A shotgun shell was found approximately 10 metres from where the shotgun was buried.

A line search was conducted encompassing approximately 500 square metres and the area around the weapon site was searched again using shovels.

Investigations are ongoing.
