CANBERRA CBD Ltd have announced their plans for a “World Curry Festival” to go with their ice rink in Garema Place (presumably to include those parts of the world not known for their ice skating).
Located next to the popular Skate in the City ice skating rink in Garema Place, there will be something for everyone. There will be celebrity chefs, street food, market stalls, take-home product travel advice and entertainment.
It’s early days though as they’re still calling for participants and vendors, in particular:
- Chefs and local traders who serve curry on their menus
- Travel agents specialising in countries that have curry as a part of their cuisine
- Entertainers
- Food vans serving curry
- Businesses that create curry condiments e.g. chutneys, chilli jam
- Businesses that sell ingredients for curries
