Last chance for snow at Corin Forest this year

DESPITE spring marching in Corin Forest has a last gasp for snow play.

Dane Liepins, Corin Forest General Manager, says that with good snow cover and snow making conditions this week there is time for one last hurrah before spring really sets in.

“Snow play is open this week, and over the weekend. It will close for the week of September 14-18, to keep the cover for one last weekend on the 19th and 20th September,” Dane says.

“This season has been good for Corin Forest, despite some warm nights giving a scare of an early August end.

“We’ve had a great second year of snow play. We started earlier than we did last season and had a much bigger area. We had heaps of snow and lots of people coming out for their first snow experience, as well as people coming back.

“We had a tough couple of weeks in August with warm nights and rain making a big dint in our cover. We were able to concentrate the area down and get a good cover back over a slightly smaller park.”

“We are hoping for a big finish over the next couple of weekends. We have good cover and hope we’ll have heaps of people come and help us say goodbye to our snow season.”

Corin Forest is open 8.00am to 5.00pm 9-13 September and 19-20 September. Snow play sessions are 8.30am, 11.00am and 14.00 each day.
