Not too late to join in the great Lyneham Oval bunfight

RESIDENTS of the Lyneham area are being reminded there is still time to have their say on the future of the Lyneham Oval, with the consultation closing this coming Friday.

The ACT Government is seeking feedback from the Lyneham community, including parents and carers of children attending Lyneham High School, Lyneham Primary School and Brindabella Christian College (BCC), on the BCC proposal at the Lyneham Neighbourhood Oval.

“I encourage anyone who would still like to provide their feedback to complete the survey before close of business on Friday,” Director of Sport and Recreation Services Jenny Priest said.

“We are aware there are a range of different views within the community and this is an opportunity for the community to have their say.

“The feedback provided through this consultation will help to inform a decision about whether the ACT Government as custodians of the land at the Lyneham Neighbourhood Oval, should endorse the lodgement of a Development Application (DA) for assessment on its merits.”

All Lyneham residents and parents and carers of children attending the three schools should have received information on how to access the survey.

If you are having difficulty or require assistance completing the survey, please contact David Jeffrey at Sport and Recreation Services via david.jeffrey@act.gov.au or phone 6207 5815.
