ACT Policing will summons a 25-year-old man to face the ACT Magistrates Court after an incident involving a ‘BB’ gun yesterday afternoon (7 July).
About 1.20pm, police received a report that a man driving a green Holden Frontera in Phillip was in possession of a firearm. Police responded and later located the vehicle of interest in Banks, conducting a traffic stop on Pockett Street.
Further police enquiries led to the seizure of a ‘BB’ pellet gun, which had been modified to look like a firearm, at a house in Banks.
Police apprehended a 25-year-old Banks man at the same residence.
The man will be summonsed to face the ACT Magistrates Court at a later date in relation to possession of an offensive weapon.
