THE Arboretum is letting visitors know that the acorn pod structures at the popular Pod Playground will be closed from Monday 24 August until Friday 28 August 2015 to allow for works to be conducted at the site.
The middle area of Pod Playground, with two large nest swings and two toddler swings, will remain open for the majority of works, as will the toddlers area with the giant banksia cones, sand pit, and musical instruments at the cafe end of the playground.
The closure will allow for the installation of new pine soft fall underneath the acorns and the swings.
During this period the whole playground will be closed for one day, Thursday 27 August, weather permitting, to allow machinery to be used for some of this work.
The acorns are scheduled to re-open on Saturday 29 August 2015. Signage will be in place to alert visitors to the closures. We apologise for any inconvenience.
