REGISTRATIONS are open for this week’s public forum on the review of the ACT Arts Policy Framework.

“ArtsACT is looking for feedback from the community on the current ACT Arts Policy Framework, and the forum on Thursday provides those with an interest in the arts and our arts sector to provide their feedback and contribute to discussion,” Minister for the Arts, Joy Burch, said today.

“We have all sorts of innovative organisations and artists in Canberra and refreshing the Framework [The current framework was released in 2012] is vital to ensuring it remains relevant to the local arts community,” Ms Burch said, adding, “I’d also like to remind the community time is running out to complete the online survey or make a written submission to the review. Those unable to attend on Thursday will still be able to provide feedback on the Framework to artsACT directly through these channels.”

A reference group was appointed in January this year to oversee the review process and the revised Policy Framework is expected to be released in June this year.

ACT Arts Policy Framework forum, at The Street Theatre rehearsal room, corner Childers Street 7 University Avenue, Civic, noon to 1:30pm Thursday, April 23. RSVP to artsACT@act.gov.au or 6207 2384. Consultation closes at 5pm on Monday April 27. More information at arts.act.gov.au
