CANBERRA media has been shocked to its core today with news that Canberra’s third most famous thing (according to the published results of the Centenary “Like Canberra” campaign), the FM 104.7 mornings duo “Scotty and Nige” is hereafter going to be “Nige & Knuckles”.
Canberra FM’s General Manager Eoghan O’Byrne has made this statement.
Today Canberra FM 104.7 has announced the restructure of its Breakfast Team.
As part of a broader strategy for the station, and after much consideration, Canberra FM will reduce the number of key talent from three to two which will result in Scott Masters leaving the show.
When the show resumes after the break on Monday October 19th, Canberra FM 104.7’s Breakfast Show will be Nige & Knuckles for Breakfast, hosted by current Breakfast announcers Nigel Johnson and Kate Rice (photo attached).
All at Canberra FM thank Scott for his contribution to the station and wish him all the very best for the future.
Five hours ago the man himself posted this to facebook:
With an election next year and many new seats wide open we look forward to seeing the big man entering the Assembly and negotiating himself the job of “Minister for Rock” to help one side or another form Government.
It’s worth remembering that after leaving MIX 106 “CityNews” own Mark Parton came very, very, close to a seat.
