THE indefatigable Tempo Theatre Inc. has made itself Canberra’ theatrical specialist in murder mysteries, especially the plays of Agatha Christie.
In September this year at Belconnen Community Theatre theatre@bcs, the company is venturing into one of the greats, the murder-comedy “Arsenic and Old Lace” by Joseph Kesselring.
It’s a favourite on the stage, but perhaps even more famous from the film that starred Cary Grant, Peter Lorre, and Raymond Massey, made up like Boris Karloff playing Frankenstein’s monster.
Its a deliciously funny romp, as drama critic Mortimer Brewster discovers his sweet little old aunties are not just good at making elderberry wine but are serial killers, and the plot thickens.
The director is Bob Morris and while he’s already rehearsing, he still needs at least two more mature males.
The parts in this play are fabulous, so call Morris at 0450 861 694.
