West Belconnen heroin bust

ACT Policing has arrested a 42-year-old Dunlop man in relation to drug trafficking in the ACT yesterday (Thursday 12 March).

On 26 February and 5 March police observed the man carry out transactions in what they will allege was heroin for cash.

About 1.30pm on Thursday 12 March, a man was observed to supply a quantity of suspected heroin to another man in Weetengera. The man was later intercepted by police and arrested.

Police executed Drugs of Dependence warrants on a silver Mazda and residences in Hawker and Dunlop recovering sums of cash, an amount of white powder and other supporting evidence.

He will appear it the ACT Magistrates Court this morning where he is charged with traffic in controlled drug and resisting arrest.
