Worker starts fire at Forrest Primary

FIREFIGHTERS are currently on scene at Forrest Primary School, Hobart Place, Forrest following a small fire in one of the classrooms.

The fire was caused by workmen using a glue gun who also extinguished the fire which was contained to the area.

Minor damage reported and ACT Fire & Rescue is currently ventilating the area and conducting atmospheric monitoring.

Approximately 40 teachers and parents have been evacuated as a precaution.
