ActewAGL warns of hoax emails

actewagl house

ACTEWAGL is warning customers about hoax emails that look like an electricity or gas bill sent from AGL Energy.

We’d like to reassure our customers that no ActewAGL customer data has been compromised and advise them to delete the email before opening any attachments. Customers can also report this hoax by visiting scamwatch.gov.au, calling 1300 795 995 or emailing spam@agl.com.au

Customers are able to confirm the legitimacy of bill emails from ActewAGL by checking the email address ends with @actewagl.com.au

If you have received a hoax email and you are concerned about your account, please call us on 13 14 93.
