police

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses following an aggravated burglary at the Calwell Shopping Centre early this morning (Friday, 29 April).

About 5.45am today, police attended the Calwell Shopping Centre after reports that two males in a silver Nissan Pulsar hatchback had intentionally collided with the Webber Crescent entry to the centre, causing significant damage. The offenders then forced their way into Woolworths and later fled in the vehicle.

Around 6.30am, the vehicle suspected to have been involved in the offence was located by police in Calwell.

Investigations are ongoing.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anything suspicious in Calwell or Theodore this morning, or can help identify the offenders involved, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via https://act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.

Police remind people they should not report crime information via Facebook and Twitter pages.
